May 6, and his parents' efforts to raise money for his burial. Michael Jackson said he will pay for the funeral of a 9-year-old boy accidentally killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, and he, working through the district attorney's office, wrote a check to cover the mortuary and cemetery services and a headstone. A Jackson aide issued a statement quoting the family as telling Jackson, "Ramon was one of your biggest fans. You have helped make a very tragic time for us more bearable. Your involvement was a very pleasant surprise and we are eternally grateful."
