#OnThisDay November 13, 2006. #MichaelJackson went on a shopping spree with Mimi Morrish, daughter of Jonathan Morrish and Michael's friend since the late 70's. Jonathan Morrish has enjoyed

a 40 year career in the entertainment industry. Starting in 1975 as a House Writer for CBS Records. The role quickly developed and a year later Morrish became Press Officer at CBS. By 1985, Morrish's commitment to excellence had paid off and he became Director Corporate PR for CBS Records. a role that included handling the biggest star on the planet, a post-Thriller Michael Jackson, who he'd been working alongside since The Jacksons moved to the label. He would also deal with other major artists such as Sade and Wham! to name few. In 1995, Sony's purchase of CBS was now a thing of the past and the entertainment giant expanded its output with Morrish securing the position of Vice-President Communications for Sony Music Entertainment Europe, a role he would stay until parting ways with the company in 2003. It was at this point in his career that Morrish decided to take a step in to the agency world and joined The Outside Organisation as Head of Corporate PR before moving across to PPL in 2006 as Director of PR and corporate comms.
