In an interview, Jermaine Jackson, Michael Jackson's brother, said Michael could have died in the Attack on the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, if he had not overslept.

That day, Michael had a meeting at the World Trade Center, but was exhausted by the show the night before (in which they celebrated their 30-year career), and ended up losing time, getting late.

Jermaine also said that the whole family panicked when they imagined Michael was in the building, but fortunately their mother, Katherine Jackson, knew he was home, safe and sound.
