Dorothy Bennett’s testimonial…
“I am so grateful to God for allowing me and my children to be able to drive from Shreveport, Louisiana, to Gary, Indiana, to show our love and support for Michael on his first return to his hometown since he left Gary.
As I drove along the highway on Tuesday, June 10, 2003, I was praying for Michael and I asked God to allow something "miraculous" to happen, on this trip to Gary to see "The King of Pop". I am proud to say that a “miracle” happened, because my 17 year old niece Terri, who lives with me, was blessed to get a “big hug” from the 'King'; himself, Michael Jackson.
She came to me crying and said that she had got her hug.
On the way home I asked Terri about her experience with the World's Greatest Artist.
Terri said that she was close enough that when she called Michael's name, he looked in her direction and she told Michael that we had driven 15 hours to see him. Michael then signaled her and she went to him with open arms, and they hugged.
Terri said it was difficult for her not to cry and Michael hugged her. When she stopped crying, Michael helped her with her camera and allowed her to take a picture.
Terri said that Michael was too tall next to her, but he leaned over and put his face against her face to take the picture. Terri said that she did not want to wash her face because it had been touched by Michael, nor her shirt that was impregnated with his perfume”.
