#MichaelJackson #Thriller40 #documentary Erste Einblicke in die neue offizielle Dokumentation #Thriller40 gab es in den Fanscreenings am 30. November 2022 in verschiedenen Städten wie Toronto (Canada), Amsterdam (Tuschisnki Theater - Niederlande), Los Angeles (Graumans Chinese Theater - USA), Madrid (Spanien), London (Curzon Cinema -Soho, England) und Manila (SM Mall of Asia; - Philippinen). Der Tag war gut gewählt, denn am 30. November 1982 erschien Thriller als Michael Jacksons sechstes Studioalbum bei Epic Records. Nach der Vorführung legte ein DJ noch Musik von Michael Jackson auf, man konnte bei einem Getränk im Foyer noch ein wenig tanzen und den Abend ausklingen lassen. Es gab für die Gäste Goodies wie Untersetzer, Poster, Popcorn und Flyer, natürlich alles mit Thriller40 - Logo drauf. Für diejenigen, die am 30. November 2022 nicht dabei sein konnten, die frohe Botschaft: Ab Januar 2023 soll #Thriller40 - bisher noch nicht ganz fertig - auf einer noch nicht bekannten Streaming Plattform zu sehen sein.
Thriller 40 ist eine sehr positive und umfassende Dokumentation von George Nelson über die Zeit, in der Thriller entstand. In Thriller 40' werden zahlreiche Zeitzeugen, die auch mit Michael Jackson am Thriller-Album gearbeitet haben, interviewt von Usher, Maxwell, Mary J Blige, Jam & Lewis, Will.I.Am, Brooke Shields, John Landis oder John Branca bis zu Musikern wie Matt Forger, Greg Phillinganes, Steven Ivory und Steve Lukather interviewt. Man erfährt so vieles über die Entstehung der einzelnen Songs und der dazugehörigen Short-Filme, über die Ideen hinter den Songs und über den Einfluss, den Thriller und damit Michael Jackson auf das Musikbusiness und die Musikgeschichte hatte und bis heute noch hat.
Der Dokumentarfilm enthält zahlreiche HD-Bildern aus unveröffentlichten Interviews, Studioaufnahmen oder hochwertige Konzertszenen aus Los Angeles von Victory Tour aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln in 4k: Wanna be startin' Something, Human Nature, Beat it, Billie Jean ... Es gibt ungesehenes Filmmaterial aus zwei gelöschten Cuts aus dem Beat It-Musikvideo und einige bis dato unveröffentlichte Szenen hinter den Kulissen (alle 4K) zum Beat It-Videos, einschließlich einer Szene, in der Michael Jackson an die Tür eines Cafés klopft und durch das Fenster schaut. Die Geschichte, die Michael Jackson in "Making of Thriller" erzählt, sieht man wie sie gedreht wird.

The Thriller 40 Documentary is estimately 90 minutes long. The documentary is currently unfinished, but was annonunced the documentary will be available on streaming platforms in Janaury 2023. It's a documentary highly recommended for all audiences, introducing us to a young Michael Jackson with a very ambitious dream: "to record the best-selling record in history." And sometimes, dreams do come true. The main themes coming out in the narrative were of Michael Jackson 100% determined to produce a record that could not be dismissed by mainstream. Michael Jackson’s ability as an artist to do it all: compose, produce, perform and create film was highlighted. They capture the essence of Michael and his art. Michael Jackson changed the course of the industry and became a social phenomenon never to be repeated again. The #Thriller40 documentary not only is an immersive experience in the creative process of 'Thriller', but reflects well the breaking of the racial gap the album generated by bringing black culture closer to white popular media, and the impact that all of it continues to have up to date today. They showed tons of footage from the Th Girl Is Mine sessions. Then 2 deleted cuts from Beat It music video and some never seen behind the scene (all in glorious 4K) including one scene with MJ knocking on the cafe door and looking through the window. Some bit of the Thriller music video (and some unseen behind the stage) all in 4K include the unseen making of. So an unreleased interview with Michael Jackson at a desk that seemed to be made from the Thriller video. Unseen before. All the stuff you hear Michael Jackson narrate in the Making of Thriller you see the actual footage of him saying it. Amazing highest quality Victory Tour footage from different angles.
'Thriller 40' features major guest artists, from Usher, Maxwell, Mary J Blige, Jam&Lewis, Will.I.Am, Brooke Shields, John Landis or John Branca, to musicians involved on the album such as Matt Forger, Greg Phillinganes, Steve Lukathe, or Steven Ivory.
