" I couldn't believe it..."
June 2009, despite currently grieving for her dead idol, Julie Boisvert can console herself by saying that she has met him in person.
In September 2003, the young woman from Trois-Rivières, Canada, was able to speak and pose for a photo with the "King of Pop" as she left a Montreal hotel. The 30-year-old came with her family to Montreal in order to meet the man she had admired since she was little. While (Michael) was in Montreal to attend a Cirque du Soleil show, the young mother went to the hotel where he was staying with her daughter Kelia, who was one year old at the time.
"I went there and security said Michael wouldn't go out that night and advised me to come back the next day. They said they were sure he was going to leave because there was going to be a big party at Neverland with other artists. I told them my daughter was born the same day as Michael and it was a big dream for me to meet him.''
The young woman returned to the hotel with her daughter and her husband the next day at 6:00 am.
"At 2 pm, his kids left with the nanny and he left a moment later. He remained outside for 30 seconds before getting into the limo. I yelled at him that I wanted a picture of him with my daughter. The nanny then nodded. for me to approach. She told me that only my daughter would take the picture. My fiancé pushed me into the limousine. When I got in, I told Michael that my daughter was born on the same day as him, and he said he already knew through security.
My daughter was crying really hard at the time and the babysitter said to Michael "Yeah, not only is she born on the same day as you. She has a voice just as loud as yours."
He laughed and took the picture", she recalls.
This moment will forever be etched in the memory of the young woman who adores Michael Jackson. On the other hand, she has a large collection of articles, objects and records of the singer. She still regularly listens to his songs and is going to introduce her daughter and two-year-old son to his music. His death has been a great shock to her.
"I cried right away when my mom called me. I couldn't believe it. I had to cry at night and watch the reports on TV. He was like a family member to me," she says.
