This is so sad. When Michael sings, about dying in his sleep, he says, "I don't wanna die in my sleep. (laughs) but it's a song, right?" Sadly, it was prophetic.
::: NEW UNRELEASED VIDEO :::MICHAEL RECORDS "FALL AGAIN" After the first, a sensational break released on June 18, 2019, the auction house "Gotta Have Rock And Roll" has released a new unreleased clip in which you can see Michael Jackson in the studio while recording the wonderful demo of "Fall" Again" (1999).In the video below we put both sides together, hoping one day we can show you the full recording that, as reported by the same auction house, has a overall duration of about 30 minutes. For those who didn't know, here's the story of the day the King of Pop incarnated what we used to call a "never born pearl".____________________________________::: "FALL AGAIN" :::THE STORY OF A NEVER BORN PEARLWritten by Walter Afanasieff e Robin Thicke , "Fall Again" is a demo by Michael Jackson in the boxset of "The Ultimate Collection" from 2004.Proposal in 1999 to the King of Pop for the album "Invincible", was then used by Darren Hayes of Savage Garden to create the song "Insatiable", which will lead to his solo debut album, "Spin" ( 2002).And it's the same Darren, a big fan of Michael, telling us how things really went on that day almost 20 years ago. Make yourself comfortable. "It was 1999, and I was recording the Savage Garden album ""Affirmation"" in the Afanasieff studio in San Francisco. At one point Walter made me listen to a demo called “Fall Again”, at that time incarnated with Robin Thicke’s voice. Walter and Robin intended to propose the song to Michael Jackson for his new album, “Invincible”. After listening to it I was totally fascinated, and all I could hear was Michael's voice on this track.Walter told me he wasn't sure MJ would be interested. But as a fan I had a feeling that once I listened to Michael would love her as much as I did.His pleasant classic songs like "Human Nature" immediately brought to mind. I knew Jackson, in his voice, would give her that "murderful" touch. In fact the song came to Michael, he liked it and agreed to set up a demo. But with a downside: the only day MJ made himself available was the same day Walter and I had to end the voices for “Affirmation”.However, Walter decided he could record both sessions, so we flew to New York. In the morning he recorded with me in Sony studios, while in the afternoon I went to Michael Jackson at the Hit Factory, basically across the street. In addition to the first version of "Fall Again" sung by Robin Thicke, this demo is absolutely the only one in existence, as Michael recorded the song only that single time. A simple try. She didn't even have the time to learn her well, but her work was incredible!Walter went back to work on my session about two hours later. It used to be a beaming. I talked to Michael in an enthusiastic way: his voice, his kindness and his talent.I was particularly impressed when he told me that his children - Prince and Paris were present at the session - and that MJ had installed a monitor so he could watch them play with the nanny in the next room as he sang.Since the children were feeling unwell, the session was interrupted prematurely. Michael, as a good caring father, wanted to give them all the attention they needed. So he apologized and walked away after completing the first recording. You never listen to the version sung by Michael until it was released, many years later. Knowing that I was a big fan, in fact, Walter wanted to respect Michael Jackson’s privacy and never let me hear it.But in my mind, the emotions and magic of that melody were imprinted from the first time you heard it in Robin Thicke's voice. So when the time came to record my first solo album, I asked Walter to try and write a song together with the same energy. Born this way "Unstoppable".It's incredible to listen to Michael's "Fall Again" after so many years and just be enchanted by his art. MJ is the reason I became an artist. When I saw his "Bad Tour" in 1987, I realized the moment I performed it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.I learned how to sing by listening to his albums. So proud that after years of career there are pieces of him in my work. And even though he is no longer with us, I like to think that the little spark he lit in me as an artist, is part of his legacy.____________________________________Post by Vincenzo Compierchio and video by Stefano Jackson from our Facebook Group Michael Jackson FanSquare • ITALIA .
