James Brown considered Michael a great artist and honored him every time he realized his presence, invited him on stage and presented him without a trace of competition even during his time with "THRILLER". Michael considered James Brown a "phenomenon" and he liked his steps when he danced; from an early age he said that his dance was influenced by Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Sammy Davis Jr and especially James Brown. In the end, however, Jackson found and established his own steps and his title as the best artist of all time.
