Bill Bray was Michael Jackson's chief security from 1971 to 1996, becoming a father figure, confidant and close friend of the singer. Bill has been with Michael since the time of Jackson 5, going through every solo tour (Bad, Dangerous, HIStory), being considered one of the few unshakable bonds of trust in Michael's life.
Bill was so close that Michael often called him Dad. Bill provided emotional stability and protection, caring for Michael in the midst of the crowd.
Even after retiring in 1996, the friendship remained until Bray's death in 2005
