Aufsehen erregt bis heute die Coverversion des jungen Michael Jackson von #BillWithers’ "Ain’t No Sunshine".

"The Jacksons" erinnerten auf ihrer offiziellen #Facebook-Page daran, dass am 22. Januar 1979 in der Stadthalle Bremen die internationale Destiny- Tour durch Europa, Afrika und Nordamerika startete. Sie ging bis zum 9. Juni 1979. Ein Fotograf, der die Jacksons und Michael Jackson damals dokumentarisch begleitete, war der Holländer Peter Mazel, der über sehr seltene Aufnahmen aus dieser Zeit verfügt. Seine Tochter Clara verwaltet mittlerweile das Archiv ihres Vaters. Die Setliste von damals: "Dancing Machine, Things I Do for You, Ben, Keep on Dancing, I Want You Back / ABC / The Love You Save, I'll Be There, Enjoy Yourself, Destiny, Show You the Way to Go, All Night Dancin' und natürlich "Blame It on the Boogie"

Ausstellung über Michael Jackson in München 2023 - MJ in Munich 2023
Nach 17 Jahren musste leider das Rockmuseum im Olympiaturm (München) seine Pforten schließen. Denn ab 2023 soll der 1968 errichtete Olympiaturm dann seine längst fälligen Sanierungsarbeiten erhalten. In seinem Rockmuseum, welches Herbert Hauke gründete und stets aus eigener Tasche finanzierte, war nur etwa ein Prozent seiner gesamten Musiksammlung zu sehen. Doch nun kommt es! Vorankündigung: 2023 ist eine Sonderausstellung über #MichaelJackson in München geplant. Partner von Herbert Hauke ist die Dittmar MJ Collection. Einen Einblick in die beeindruckende Michael Jackson Collection von Chris Julian Dittmar gab es bereits 2014 im #RocknPopmuseum Gronau. Daher können wir diese Ausstellung schon jetzt empfehlen.
