28th February 1986 - Michael telephones and invites 14-year-old Donna Ashlock from California - convalescing after a heart transplant - over to "Hayvenhurst" mansion in Encino, there dining and watching a film with the young patient, the actual visit taking place on March, 8. That same year, he invites 12-year-old Danielle Finmark (attending "Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times", an organization for children with cancer) to the ranch, where she tours the residence, visits his menagerie, has lunch with Jackson and watches movie "Short Circuit" with him, according to Finmark.

OTTO GRAMMY AWARDS In questo giorno di 39 anni fa, 28 febbraio 1984, l'uragano Michael Jackson si abbatteva sulla 26ª edizione dei Grammy Awards, in scena allo Shrine Auditorium di Los Angeles.
In totale, il Re del Pop si aggiudicò la cifra record di otto statuette, grazie soprattutto al leggendario album 'Thriller':
2. Registrazione dell'anno ('Beat It')
3. Miglior interpretazione vocale Pop maschile ('Thriller')
4. Miglior interpretazione vocale Rock maschile ('Beat It')
5. Miglior interpretazione vocale R&B maschile ('Billie Jean')
6. Miglior canzone R&B dell'anno ('Billie Jean')
7. Produttore dell'anno, non classico (con Quincy Jones)
8. Migliore registrazione per bambini ('E.T. - l'Extra-Terrestre')
E non solo: accanto a questi otto Grammy per Michael, va ricordato anche quello assegnato a Bruce Swedien per la 'Migliore registrazione ingegnerizzata (non classica)', sempre per 'Thriller'.
MJ divenne così il primo artista nella storia del prestigioso riconoscimento ad aggiudicarsi il maggior numero di premi in una sola serata: un record che sarebbe stato eguagliato soltanto nel 2000 dal gruppo dei Santana, anch'esso vincitore in otto categorie di un'unica edizione.
Al Re del Pop spetta comunque ancora oggi, inalterato, il record di artista solista maschile con il maggior numero di statuette in una sola serata.
Inoltre, nel backstage di quel memorabile show che fece registrare il più alto ascolto televisivo di sempre in tutta la storia dei Grammy, Michael ebbe l'onore di ricevere delle congratulazioni molto speciali, quelle di colui che era stato da sempre il suo idolo e principale ispiratore per la sua carriera: il "Padrino del Soul", James Brown.
Vi lasciamo con una piccola curiosità: nel febbraio del 2012, un programma cartaceo di quell'edizione dei Grammy Awards, con su apposto l'autografo di Michael e una scritta in pennarello nero che recitava "To Bush. Love, Michael Jackson", è stato battuto a un'asta della Julien's Auctions per la "modica" cifra di 1.920 dollari.
Nel video, con sottotitoli in italiano, Michael Jackson riceve il Grammy per la categoria 'Miglior interpretazione vocale Pop maschile'.

Unfortunaly the medal on Michael's jacket is an old historical medal from Portugal. Not available anywhere . So I have to help myself.
The original design is from Tompkins and Michael Lee Bush. Sometimes I ask myself, where did they find all these unique accessories (
