Il mondo del cinema piange Claudia Cardinale, una delle piu' grandi dive italiane, icona del cinema degli anni '60, è morta all'età di 87 anni a Nemours, vicino a Parigi, dove viveva. La personificazione di una grazia tutta italiana e di una bellezza speciale che nel corso della sua lunga carriera ha partecipato a più di 150 film, alcuni dei quali considerati delle pietre miliari del cinema d'autore. L'attrice ha recitato con i più grandi registi, è stata musa di Luchino Visconti e Federico Fellini, ma ha lavorato anche con Richard Brooks, Henri Verneuil e Sergio Leone. "Ci lascia l'eredità di una donna libera e ispirata sia nel suo percorso di donna che di artista"

Il 19 maggio 1988, Michael Jackson partecipava al party romano organizzato in suo onore dalla CBS presso la lussuosa residenza dell'ambasciatore statunitense Maxwell Milton Rabb, a Villa Taverna (Parioli).
Alla festa parteciparono ben 400 invitati - tra personaggi del mondo dello spettacolo, del cinema e della moda - di cui 170 scelti personalmente da MJ.

Secondo la lista fornita dall'Ambasciata, tra le star del cinema erano presenti Sophia Loren col figlio Carlo jr. e la nipote Alessandra Mussolini, Gina Lollobrigida, Marcello Mastroianni, Federico Fellini con Giulietta Masina, Claudia Cardinale, Pasquale Squitieri, Bernardo Bertolucci, Franco Zeffirelli, Carlo Verdone ed Enrico Montesano.

Presenti anche numerosi cantanti italiani della scuderia CBS, capitanati da Claudio Baglioni.

R. I.P. Robert Redford Robert Redford died on Tuesday, September 16, at the age of 89.

Thinking about it reminded me of the 1979 film The Electric Horseman, starring Robert Redford and Jane Fonda. In the movie, Redford’s character acquires a $12 million champion racing horse, who is being mistreated and exploited. Redford's character sets the horse free, giving it a life far from captivity and abuse.

Doesn’t that resemble what Michael did for Bubbles? Bred for research, Bubbles could have faced a sad fate — yet Michael acquired him and gave him love, care, and a life outside that world. Bubbles was born in early 1983 in an Austin, Texas research facility that bred primates for animal testing. He was about eight months old.

Today, Bubbles is 42 years old and lives a peaceful life at the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida. He enjoys exploring, building nests, painting, and spending time with his chimpanzee friends, under the dedicated care of sanctuary staff. Michael’s estate still supports him, and he’s become an artistic and gentle presence.

As we remember these stories, we also say goodbye to the man who starred in The Electric Horseman. Robert Redford died on September 16, 2025, at age 89. RIP to a true film legend.
