Beverly Hills Hotel (Stati Uniti), 27 gennaio 1990 - Nel corso della settima edizione degli American Cinema Awards, Sophia Loren consegna a Michael Jackson il premio 'Entertainer of the Decade' ('Artista del Decennio'), in onore degli straordinari record video-musicali ottenuti negli anni Ottanta.
Grazie a capolavori innovativi come 'Thriller', 'Beat It', 'Bad', 'The Way You Make Me Feel', 'Smooth Criminal' e 'Leave Me Alone', il Re del Pop aveva infatti stabilito un nuovo standard qualitativo nel settore dei videoclip: un punto di non ritorno al quale l'intera industria discografica era stata costretta ad adeguarsi.
Insomma, premio più che meritato.
